Welder/ Fabricator

Our client, a well established organisation based in Royston, are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and welding, with the ability to work with various materials, including sheet metal. This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency in using hand and power tools to assemble components accurately. Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications.
• Perform stick welding and other welding techniques to ensure strong, durable joints.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand project requirements.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet industry standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.

Requirements

• Proven MIG & TIG experience in fabrication and welding, particularly with sheet metal
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Proficiency in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
• Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in the fabrication process
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
