About the Role
Are you passionate about driving positive change and ensuring the highest standards in aerospace manufacturing? Our client, a leading aerospace manufacturer based in Royston, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Inspector to join their dynamic team.This is a full-time, permanent position working late shifts (2pm-10pm, Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week) with a competitive shift premium. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the conformity of parts by conducting precise inspections in accordance with customer drawings, inspection reports, and industry standards.
Success in this role requires over 2 years of mechanical engineering experience and prior inspection experience. Strong knowledge of GD&T, the ability to interpret technical documentation (drawings, specifications, and procedures), and proficiency in using standard measuring equipment are essential.

What you’ll be doingInspecting work-in-progress and final products, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements and configurations
Reviewing and verifying associated paperwork at relevant manufacturing stages
Conducting inspections using conventional methods per inspection reports
Performing in-line process and product inspections throughout the factory
Raising non-conformance reports in accordance with the quality system
Authorising product release within the DPRV department
Calibrating build and inspection tooling
Managing collection and release of measuring instruments for external calibration
Participating in MSA and Gauge R&R studies
Supporting and advising on new product inspection methods
Assisting in problem-solving within the company's continuous improvement program
Actively engaging in safety improvement initiatives
Developing and supporting new product inspection methods
